Tucker Park, over 70F , and not Duck’s kind of weather. He had a lot of water before the track.

Just a 2 turn short leg track each leg 50-60 yds that ended up with going through mud and across a gravel path because he loves this game. Tried the food drop with the seasoned freezes dried chicken and one drop per leg. Started without an article at start flag and a only triangular shape stomp scented area bc we are going to do trailing and there are no articles.

He sniffed around the flag and then he figured out that he’d just follow the scent! He pretty much just followed the track although we did get near a tree and he had to investigate but he left it and found his track. He turned a blind eye to the food which I’m not surprised as he doesn’t like it.

This was a fun track and he did try to pull a lot and fast which my ankle did not appreciate and I held him to slow which made him out more of his weight into the pull but at least we did not move faster.

If we go out in the mornings I will give him a longer track and wean him off food except for on one leg.

He really gets psyched and physically excited to track just like his predecessor Daisy. Lucky for me that he enjoys the activity and he does not care if he certifies or titles.

Opted to have some fun with change of surfaces. Grass , gravel, pebbles, back to grass. This area had no puddles…a perk for me. Negatives or challenges for Duck were that high traffic kid play, and do
