Intended to do Article track, but poor time planning, only River got one.

For the rest of the week, articles outside finally and starts. If flag awareness persists then I will put flag far back from turn or put pin in ground instead.

I’m sad about my failure to certify Duckman, but in some ways I have improved with Duck this winter. I’m focusing on the positive. He is still here and he loves to be out there with me whenever we go to a field with his harness. And we want the happiness. Beth G from class asked me this Saturday 2/14 if I regretted missing classtime Saturday. And, usually I hate missing but I knew I needed to be fresh and have the right mindset for Duck’s trial. And, we had a blast! So much fun doing our Master class run and being the final dog to run. I used to hate being last. Another 1st place for my All-American with a 99+/100 score for 9 championship points. Only 9 more to earn his RACH. More importantly, I have a good dog! Ok, this is a Tracking, not Rally blog. But, here’s the thing. Yes I’ve definitely learned some things about tracking but there are the other intangibles. I really just think more about my dogs uniqueness and how to have the best experiences with their talents. Playing and training go hand in hand.

Thank you instructors, fellow students and especially Judi, MAM, & Carol M.

Tucker Park, over 70F , and not Duck’s kind of weather. He had a lot of water before the track. Just a 2 turn short leg track each leg 50-60 yds that ended up with going through mud and across a grave

Duck ran a 7 article track at Tucker park after tracking class. He was enthusiastic and the clover isn’t out yet so he tracked to each one and enjoyed turkey meatball reward. He had so much fun and it

Opted to have some fun with change of surfaces. Grass , gravel, pebbles, back to grass. This area had no puddles…a perk for me. Negatives or challenges for Duck were that high traffic kid play, and do
