Snow & ice, primarily the ice has had us hunkered down at home. Oddly, I feel like I’m living in Wisconsin again.

We love the indoor find the article game. Duck has a happy tail when it’s his turn to search. He does his down indication.

We did move the article game outside. Precheck for deer outside the fence, which is hard as I don’t always notice them. Only put down 2 articles. Yak Trax on my shoes helped with walking on the icey snow. Duck remained enthusiastic although he was cautious moving on the surface and downed for both.

Inside we’ve also been working on rally obedience as until yesterday we had 2 trials next Sunday where he could’ve earned his RACH. But, those got cancelled due to the icy weather at the site. Nevertheless we will enter more trials so, we continue to do our random downs, stands, spins, heels, pivots as well as a planned series with his bonus bowl filled with treats for working. That was a total game changer for doing a rally course without me carrying treats.

Tucker Park, over 70F , and not Duck’s kind of weather. He had a lot of water before the track. Just a 2 turn short leg track each leg 50-60 yds that ended up with going through mud and across a grave

Duck ran a 7 article track at Tucker park after tracking class. He was enthusiastic and the clover isn’t out yet so he tracked to each one and enjoyed turkey meatball reward. He had so much fun and it

Opted to have some fun with change of surfaces. Grass , gravel, pebbles, back to grass. This area had no puddles…a perk for me. Negatives or challenges for Duck were that high traffic kid play, and do

Duck's session sounded a bit clearer that River's and I like that you're taking the article games outside (continue to do so). Yaktrax are the best! I don't know where I would have been w/out mine the past couple of weeks.
