3 turns

Turn 1 scuff&food in & out of turn

Turn2 food in &out of turn

Turn 3 food out of turn

Also food drop mid leg.

Objective: Trying to see what worked best to keep him on the turn

1st turn was kind of messy & I felt puzzled by what he was doing. Casting left, forward, right. He managed to encircle the line around his neck so I had to bend over him to fix it. The mid leg food drops kept his focus. Surprising to me was that he got better at the turns as we went along. On turn 2 he didn’t pick up all the food and he casted much less. At turn 3 he didn’t pick the best, as it felt to me that he was most confident with the food dropped going out of the turn.

Duck continues to down indicate nicely and happily.

Yes, beautiful map! I agree with Anne on Turn 1 showing LOS and confirming direction. You also did well in supporting that search by backing up 3 steps. Having a pre-planned process helps in those situations. His article indications look snappy too! Looking forward to class Sat with you!

Looked good to me! I think at turn 1 it was just LOS and confirming. It's good that you are filing away his response to different augmentation at the turn, so just as you noted that food drops out seemed to show more confidence in him, it might be worth trying that same augmentation you used at turn 1 again in the future and see if the behavior repeats. Be careful you're not getting caught up in setting your tracks too similarly with food drops on the legs being placed in the same spot too often. You'll be in class tomorrow so will leave it to them to tell you what to focus on next. LOVE your map! It's…
