Tucker Park with dry short new growth grass or weeds, 59F, light breeze
Track plot ended up as about 475 yds with 5 turns, only one to the right. Food drop was 30 steps out from start and each turn. I wanted him to get a periodic reward.
He started perfectly on the track from the flag, checked out a cook out paper bag garbage item but kept moving on his track. First turn was left and he got that quickly. On 2nd left, he swung out to the right with his head up and then circled around behind me, got the scent as he quickly put his nose down, made it known that he got the new direction by throwing his body into it, flicking his tail, and he headed onward. At 3rd turn, a right open angle, he got the change easily and stopped when he heard a bird off to the right. He stared at it, but then his nose went down back to the track. The 4th right 90 degree was easy for him and for me to read him as he just suddenly turned left. The final turn was open angle left, which he just trucked on down the track and downed at the glove.
My dog did a beautiful track today and even better, he had a lot of fun.
