63F, sunny, light breeze, dry ground and sections of wet, mucky grass, weeds. No moles out yet.

Laid 3 start tracks, 2 right turns, 1 left turn. Food in first start article and first end article. Subsequent articles were empty and I rewarded.

Downed for all starts and ends even on the wet ground. On first track he started out and just as I was going to step out at 20 ft, he verred off and sniffed, then pee marked. His tail had straightened and stiffened. Sniffed a bit more, but then lifted head and angled back to the track. He had his head down and his tail was moving differently, more softly. On second track, he lifted his head toward dogs and their people walking but then put his head down and went onward to the article. On third track which ran near a recently cleared of brush tree break, he hung off the track on the side of the trees a bit but made sure to get all his food drops. Actually, he usually passed them and had to turn around for the hot dogs on all the tracks.

It was actually a good track experience today considering we'd taken a bit of a break. As I approached the start he was really excited.
