Ducks only done sporadic tracks this winter. After recent oncologists visit and vacccine, he's doing well and has no signs of melanoma recurrence. So, Duck is back to tracking.

Has this lay off hindered the progress from last year...no I don't think it has.

Today he did a multiple turn track in 70F but not very long as that temperature is not preferred by Duckman.

I marked a few turns with pins and he laid down to indicate articles. At the turn with a flag he did not lie down. He was getting hot and actually had some water. At the first turn he did get up and continue forward but stopped and turned right away into the actual track direction.

Also, I'm handling him with the thicker line which I had been using for River but she's now got the lighter thinner line. Really excited that he did so well. I did stay pretty close to him and only let him have line at the turns.

Going to work more consistently with Duck. May take him on more urban tracks too as he's previously been fine on pavement, concrete and parking lot green islands. Both he and River like going into the trees so I'm just going to give Duck and River variety. Duck also was good at ignoring cross tracks and he's not up to that level for a test but I am interested in seeing if he still ignores them. Pretty easy to evaluate this at Huguenot Park if there fields are open.
