1/9/23 Monday class
Duck did a couple turn track laid by Madeline, which I did not handle him on as my BG was a crazy high level and resulted in me feeling quite nauseated on the walk with him from the car into the field. Judi kindly offered to handle him and MaryAnn did the video. I got to see him working from a different vantage point. Very cool as I saw how precise he can be on turns. And, Carol noticed the way he flicks his tail. Even though I'm behind him, I noticed it much more from the distance. And, now, this afternoon, I was able to spot it more easily and he's got his nose down working when it has the flick movement.
In late afternoon, I took him out again. He looked visibly sad that he didn't get to track with me. I used S5 W30 F15 on two tracks with 2 turns in each. I put one turn right in front of woods to see what he'd do...he loves going into wooded areas, but I hoped that the right turn track and hot dog piece would keep him true to the track. He picked his head up and stopped, rejected the woods, put his head down, took 2 steps left and immediately turned on a dime to head and continue on the 90 degree right turn.
Tomorrow we are doing an article track to tighten up our indication of various types of articles.
