Modified stair steps track

I did shorten up on the leash so I was only 15-20 ft behind. I hoped that this would give me quicker response and it'd enhance his trust that I would truly follow him quickly. Not sure if this worked but we had a pretty much on the track line run. He just hopped over the foot wide ditch with water on 2 legs, didn't care. His end article was just into the start of pine needles. He did some sniff circles around the area, like in today's test, but on this practice, he downed to indicate the article.
