February tracking 💜

Tucker park on track laid by BS. I could not thank her enough. Four turns, all 90 degree, with 2 left & 2 right. No food, walk only.

I was trying to be very focused on watching for tracking behavior on this track as it was blind for me. He did get all the turns . Sadly, I have to say that on the last leg when he took what appeared to be a legit left 90 degree turn, I heard her say Stop. I backed up a few steps as Duck came back to the track line and then he went forward on it, but he kind of verged to fringe the track line as he went to the article, obviously whatever took him left near the start of the leg. Danced around the article so I actually had to spot it and wait for a better indication from him. I did ask about his deviation from the track as I really thought he was showing tracking, his head was down, tail loose up high. She thought so too.

As such, I am next going to give him tracks where I walk forward passing the turn then back up and do the turn to see if he will turn himself around when the correct scent disappears.
