Plan was work on my long line handling on track with multiple turns. Laid a modified stair step track to fit in the field and avoid soccer play. First 3 legs were on frozen ground, flags couldn't be placed. I just battled with the start flag and laid the rest flat for turns. He was back and forth across the track line on these legs, which I found it harder to keep the line tight, perhaps not helping him. Oddly enough, he hasn't done this on frozen ground. It's possible it was my handling or there was a lot of cross contamination, I suppose. Finally, he got intense focus on the 3rd leg, staying tighter on the track line. When we crossed a trough of water between fields, he checked left & right, then indicated the track digging his back legs in. I think he may be starting to accelerate when he smells that he's getting near the article. He did so for mid track article and end one. He's being consistent with his style pattern at the turns , which is helpful for me.

I may do another stair step track tomorrow to see if I can improve my style....maintaining a consistent distance on the line.
