Sunny, windy day with pleasant temp. 66F, felt warmer with the sun

Dry grass, distraction was River running near the dog park fence line and fake flag to see if he noticed it at all.

No scuff, only a couple of food drops and foot drag out of turns (see photo)

Duck downed for the start article, which I'd be curious if he did at one of the tracking class fields. He was efficient and determined. I felt he was getting wanderlust in the Las few yards of the 1st leg, but he hit a food drop, so back on task. I am watching for him to lift his head and he did, heading to the right. Not the track direction and I stood, so he stopped at the end of the leash and nonchalantly decided ok, so I will get back to the actual track. But, I waited until he did his dig in and pull maneuver. He did the same did in and pull at turns for the rest of the track. He did notice River so some extent but really wasn't actually distracted to the point of not working. At the fake flag, i.e. not marking upcoming turn, he laid down just past it but then got up.

He was a real joy to follow today. I no longer have to have my sprinter shoes on. 🙂

Plan: maybe long straight track to give him practice staying on track
