River isn't allowed to run for fetch, so I'm starting her agin in tracking....she walks calmly for this sport.

Week 2/6: She did article tracks ..Put food in articles 2,5& 8 and she downed to indicate for all of them. Next food at 4& 7. Always downs.

3/13/23: Long tracks with 2 turns 325 yds total). Tried S5 W25 F 12. She starts out ok, but she likes to not be directly on the track. She hangs on side either off a foot or two or she weaves back and forth across. Is this just her style or do I need to try to tighten her up on the track path??

She went across a water filled ditch and a gravel path. She freely goes into water so I did not expect the dog movement that River gave me. She approached the ditch, she picked up a food drop, swung sideways to parallel the ditch, crossed where it was dry bottom, came up looked left and went right back to the point where the track continued, directly across from the other side. She crossed the gravel back on to the grass on the track path. It was so cool to watch, wish it were on video.

Also, she is now coursing more at turns. Sometimes she will even go around my back. She's always liked moving in circles so I am unsure if I should allow this or try to get her to do more of the turns directly. She had been tighter on them so maybe I need to go back to a shorter SWF pattern.

Her down indication for final article is something I hope to not mess up as she is on automatic pilot for this aspect.
