Robious athletic field, 53F,
Planned a top hat but that shape didn’t work with fields being used. Tried to use the walk food patterns.
Image of actual track aged 45- 50 minutes. Start is at upper left yellow line and end article is lower right in the image with the slightly longer leg. I forgot to edit the photo with start flag and end article.

Goals: nice start for dog and her human. Line mechanics….Letting line run on the turns, getting back up, noticing and reacting to LOS. Also, work on handler mindset.
Challenges: after laying track, dad and son were kicking soccer ball on the field so they crossed leg 1 once and then multiple paths across legs 2 & 3 of track. Also, they stopped to stand at turn 3.
Positives:
River did a really great job on most of this track. Easy to read her in her turns. At start I was late with food reward as I wanted her to hold her down longer. She was a bit not heading straight out on the track a foot or two from the flag so I’d liked to see that better. She was on track until halfway, 2/3 of the way on the leg 1 and she casted left. Bc I knew the track didn’t turn there I stood to let her find the track and she did …so, onward. Honestly I am still trying to study that video portion for her LOS as if it were a blind track I would’ve probably just let line more run out there. River did awesome not going for the scent of soccer dad and son after that likely initial encounter on leg 1. Just kept on her track. On the 3rd turn she went right immediately. the correct direction. At turn 4 I did not do the best job letting line run smoothly so I’m lucky that River did not care. Overall this was a calm zen experience and River was moving rather briskly on the track.
