January tracking

During the first week of January, River did 3 tracks. First one, Monday afternoon as she had so much pent up energy from watching in the car while Duck was in the field for class. She did a single open angle turn on two different tracks. She trotted on the track and hit the right one perfect, and coursed to swing a little bit into the left one. On second day, we did a straight track with extra food, S8 W 16 F8 &10. OMG she had to get every piece of that food so she needed to turn back to get it quite often. Perhaps the extra food was a poor idea. On the third day, I did a single open left right angle turn, and extended the SWF pattern. Changed to W20; F10. So, this was looking fine on the track aspects of the legs, but her turn was sad. She did a lot of circling and could not seem to pin down the direction of the track. I backed up when she came toward me , I tapped her back like at the start and did tell her to go find your track, probably with not enough joy and too much frustration in my voice. Honestly it was starting to get dark and I still had Duck's track for him to run. She likely sensed the lack of calm in me. If she continued to circle, I was going to throw down an article and quit. But, she found her track and went back to trotting to down at the end article. Totally not sure what to do next with her. She is sometimes spot on as a Brit would say and other times, I feel like she is clueless....in reality, it's probably her handler doing something wrong...lol
