2/16/23 Greenfield field

River S8 W F10 on 2 turn track

This track had start on dirt and end on dirt so new ground for River. I also used longer line for the first time with her. Dirt literally had no impact on her tracking. She downed to indicate articles, start and finish. She verred off to check out objects on the grass and dirt but sniffed and returned to track. I did notice that she want as confident initially due to being further away from me (kept the leash at 10-20ft). Previously, the leash went to 10ft length. She did turn around to find the food drops but I hesitate to increase the Walk Food drop as I still think she needs it to keep her straighter on the track. I am having a harder time determining if her weaker turn is right or left. So, that's actually a good thing. She's working well in both directions.
