Still dropping a lot of food on legs. She is passing it and going back a lot of the time. Putting food on turns and she's not even picking up all of it. On 2/10/24, handler error as had tie boots on and at a start I had moved the line to her harness already but had to tie the loose laces on one shoe. Forgot to change the line off the harness. I stood up, not facing the track, patted her & River went out straight in front of me, not the track direction. Way to help my struggling dog. 😞 So, she went a few feet and turned, in my head I was jumping for joy, she went right back to the real track and pulled me. Ignored some food on track but left a lot on the turns. Next time, less food on turns. At least she isn't cutting them short. On 2/12/24, light rain, track in puddle grass, she left some food at all of the 3 turns. Really only four hot dog pieces were on the ground, she ate 1. Just as Judi says I definitely must keep her line at the proper tension as this keeps River highly dedicated to the tracking activity and actual track. It was easier with using only 10 ft of line. Hoping for signs of improvement or rebounding to the level we'd been at in early January in class tomorrow.
