Field near cabelas, Short Pump, VA

Long track with short left 90 degree turn S5W40F20

This is the longest straight leg that River has ever done 200+ yards.

  • She's definitely in tracking mode prior to getting my ear the start flag. I can that she is focused on a scent. Today she stood firmly, body and head pointed out to the track as I transferred her line to her harness. Usually she slides into a sit. She downed for the start article. I pushed out her walk and food pattern, but maybe that wasn't wise as she tended to be off to the side by a couple of feet. She adventured off to the right at one point, coursing to the line limit, 10 ft, and then turned back to me. I started backing up so she remained in front of me. I sensed that she thought that this was an opportunity to do a circle around behind my back (one of he favorite things to do). When she was left in front of me, she gave up and just found the track line which was directly in front of me.

  • River took the left turn on this track with little coursing, downed for article, and happy to find her ball further on.
