11/21/24 Article game

This morning on tossed article River actually went to, mouthed and picked up the article. Then laid next to it. Did this twice. Not behavior sought as I’m not trying to shape an article retrieve, so no more tossing. The rest I put somewhere and she laid down on them and looked to me. I did this game before reading Judi’s post to me, otherwise I wouldn’t have tossed any articles.

A passing thought…since River loves to fetch so should I stay with the down at the article or get her to retrieve? Retrieving the article may make her more enthusiastic but she’s already doing fairly well at the down indication. And, will be just as happy to fetch a ball afterwards.
