Video- partial track

34F, 44%humidity, 3 mph NW wind, 8 mph gusts, mostly snow covered grass, bare path.

S5W16F8 except added food before and after path.

First leg and right open turn were not in view of phone screen. Video starts as we cross path on second leg. Next is right 90 degree and then another 90 degree turn to end article.

Challenges: snow with a few melted spots. Some animal tracks on first leg, dog paws. On remainder there were maybe squirrel crossing track and nearby dog paws.

No one at the park, but yet as I was at the start a solitary person appeared out of the woods and gave me cross tracks on the path.

Positives:

River followed the small ditch and paved path crossing track beautifully! She went perpendicular and after crossing she checked right but then left and pulled into the track. The animal tracks were an attention getter but she did go back to her track. She felt more comfortable to me anyway as she approached the barer spots. I did have brand new boots on so I didn’t know if this would matter, I don’t think it did. She was slightly 1 foot to the the track when the wind was across the track, going into and with the wind she was directly on my footsteps. That was interesting to see with the snow.

Negatives:

River will work in the cold and snow but is not as excited until the fetch game begins. I have only done fetch at the end article.

River does not like lying down in the snow. If she does she bounces right up and stares at me.

Next time I will change the SWF and go in only snow covered area with more left turns.
