Long first leg, 125 yds, over a small dip, ditch track total 225 yd.

44F, 1 mph wind, 69% humidity, cloudy

No food on track as it wasn’t quite as long as I intended due to kids playing ball at far end of field. Also, she’s never had a problem in this small dip/ditch area.

Track aged 45 minutes.

Positives:

Beautiful start from the article out on to the track line.

Very dedicated to the track with only minor serving across the track path.

Handled the dippy ditch without any problems…went across on a diagonal line instead of the perpendicular that I had walked.

Pulled me into the left turn and was very sure of herself.

Issues:

She started to investigate to the side of the track at around 50ish yards. But, she did not go farther, after I assume LOS, she went back on the track without hesitation.

At the turn which was in a bare dirt patch of ground, her head moved and she was checking out the area but chose the track and pulled for me to follow her. I hope that I reacted to her change of movement quickly enough.

Plan: Still have to continue with turn work but we will do another 100+ yd first leg track. Food drop on the 2nd leg.

Top hat track laid by Betty. Had one blind turn, the others were marked with low flags. This felt pretty good and I kept calm even at the blind turn. Determine to watch River for LOS and investigating

What I could see looked great! She handled the turn on bare ground nicely! You should be pleased with this - again love that you're describing things you liked.
